Hello, I'm Marcelo Carvalho.

Born and raised in Brazil, my journey has been shaped by diverse experiences and a passion for growth. After high school, I moved to the United States with my family, where I embarked on a transformative chapter by joining the U.S. Navy . My time in the military instilled in me core values such as honor, loyalty, respect, and integrity principles that have become the foundation of my professional life. Through my service, I gained invaluable exposure to different cultures and perspectives, reinforcing the importance of diversity and inclusion in today’s interconnected world.

Following my military service, I returned to Brazil to pursue a degree in Law. Over the course of nearly a decade, I worked closely with State Judges in São Paulo, as a Law Clerk and later as a Law Clerk Supervisor. In these roles, I cultivated a strong sense of justice, leadership, and teamwork, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment dedicated to excellence. I thrived in the legal field, but a growing interest in Cybersecurity Law sparked a desire to explore new challenges. This curiosity reignited my passion for technology, a field I had always loved but placed on hold.

Determined to shift careers, I made the bold decision to leave behind my legal career in Brazil and immerse myself in the world of IT. I began studying, gaining hands-on experience in lab environments, and two years ago, transitioned into a help desk role. This step has been both rewarding and transformative, allowing me to apply my skills and continue evolving in the tech space .

I am committed to continuous learning, pursuing certifications, and expanding my expertise. My ultimate goal is to become a Cloud Security Engineer, a role that aligns with my aspirations of living a flexible, adventurous lifestyle, whether that means traveling on my motorcycle or discovering new beaches and coffee spots. I am driven by the desire to ensure cloud networks operate efficiently while safeguarding data both in transit and at rest, contributing to a safer, more secure digital landscape.
