Photography

Photography is an art that captures the essence of a place, revealing the subtle nuances and behaviors that make each location unique. With just a click, an image can showcase the beauty of our world and convey the profound emotions of its people.

The joy of a newlywed couple, the heartwarming smiles of friends reunited after years apart, or the sorrow etched on faces touched by war or illness—it's mesmerizing how a single photograph can evoke such deep emotions.

Exploring different places is fascinating; on the surface, things may seem similar, yet a closer look unveils the captivating differences. Sharing my perspective on tourist attractions and scenic spots allows me to express my unique point of view and invite others to see the world through my lens.

Formula 1

Formula 1 is the pinnacle of car racing, and as a young boy I watched Senna display the greatest talent I have seen anywhere. His commitment, speed, and precision and the relentless pursuit of perfection, from shaving milliseconds (or a full second) off lap times to making split-second decisions at speeds exceeding 200 mph, fascinated me.

Each driver operates on the edge, and watching Senna and his level of dedication and skill required to succeed, made my jaw drop. His human side, his faith, strong will and in many cases stubbornness ensured that I would keep coming back to watch the races.

Modern F1 is very different from the eighties and early nineties as safety increased, the technology evolved, and still every so often a talented driver comes along and shows the world how precision, concentration, and raw speed can still dominate the sport. Hi Max!

Beyond the track, Formula 1 offers a unique global adventure, taking drivers and fans to iconic circuits across the world. From the tight, twisting streets of Monaco to the sweeping high-speed corners of Silverstone, or Spa-Francorchamps each race presents a distinct and exciting challenge.

Travel

Travel opens the door to endless possibilities, offering a chance to experience the world beyond the familiar. Stepping into a new place ignites excitement – the rush of unfamiliar streets, the sound of different languages, and the thrill of meeting people from diverse backgrounds. Every interaction becomes an opportunity to learn about local customs, traditions, and ways of life, fostering empathy and broadening perspectives. Through travel, I have tasted new flavors, immersed myself in the rich tapestry of global culture, leaving each destination with memories that linger long after the journey ends.

It is also a journey of intellectual growth. Exploring the history and geography of a new country provides invaluable insights into how countries have shaped themselves over centuries. From walking along ancient ruins throughout Portugal or Italy to understanding the struggles and triumphs that define a small nation, each experience deepens our connection to the world. Personally, being born near São Paulo, Brazil – a city defined by its energy and diversity – has instilled a deep appreciation for cultural fusion. Traveling often reminds me of home, where cultures collide and coexist, making every corner a new discovery.

Yet, no matter how far I roam, how much I learn about different places, Portugal holds a special place in my heart. Its landscapes, from the golden beaches of the Algarve to the winding streets of Lisbon, the slower pace of life, "o país pequenino" who explored the 7 seas evokes a sense of belonging that transcends distance. Portugal’s charm lies not only in its beauty but in the warmth of its people and the shared heritage that binds us. Travel, for me, is a bridge between worlds – a constant pull between the excitement of the unknown and the comfort of familiar places that feel like home.

Motorcycles

For me, motorcycles embody freedom in its purest form. The thrill of speed, the precision of quick maneuvers, and the undeniable connection to the road turn every ride into an escape. There's a unique magic in twisting the throttle, hearing the engine's roar, and leaning into each curve. On a motorcycle, you're not just traveling; you're immersed. The barriers between you and the world dissolve, and every journey becomes an experience. A blend of exhilaration, instinct, and the quiet rhythm of the road.

My journey with motorcycles began a little later in life. At 26, with support from dad, I took the plunge and bought a striking blue-and-white bike. The same color scheme that my first bicycle had. On my very first ride, everything just clicked (just like with the bicycle). I didn't stumble, the bike stayed steady, and I felt an overwhelming sense that I was exactly where I was meant to be. That moment sparked a passion I hadn’t fully realized until then.

One of my favorite aspects of motorcycling is the way the journey becomes just as significant as the destination. These rides often take me to hidden gems—quaint roadside cafés, vibrant local markets, and peaceful spots tucked away in nature. It's not about the speed (well, not always); it's about the joy of the ride itself. The serenity of carving through forested roads or winding through hilly landscapes makes every outing feel like an adventure, a chance to lose myself in the journey and rediscover a sense of peace and freedom.

An unexpected trip from Milan to Monaco reignited my love for travel and exploration. Riding through the Italian countryside, with the Alps in the distance and the Mediterranean sparkling along the coastline, was unforgettable. It wasn’t just about the breathtaking views; it was about the freedom to explore, the camaraderie of the open road, and being fully present in each moment. Sharing that journey with my father made it all the more meaningful. A memory of connection and adventure that I’ll treasure forever.
